A Spring Fair of the Year of the Tiger is being sponsored in Hanoi by the Trade Promotion Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Hanoi’s Department of Trade and Industry. Participating in the Spring Fair are 50 manufacturers and processors of agricultural products, fine art, and consumer goods from 20 provinces.

Dao Van Ho, Director of the Trade Promotion Center, said the products have clear origins, food hygiene certification, VietGAP or GlobalGAP production standard certification, and One Commune, One Product certificates.

“All products at the Fair have labels and tags of origins. Visitors are asked to follow pandemic preventive measures, such as body temperature checks and medical declarations,” Ho said.

The Da Nang Museum is organizing a Tet Fair featuring products from many localities, including Tuy Loan pancakes, Nam O fish sauce, sesame candy, and grilled coconut cakes. Visitors can try their hand at wrapping chung cakes, doing calligraphy, making a Hoi An lantern, preparing a betel quid, making a lucky money envelope, or modeling an ao dai.

Ms. Ngo Thi Bich Van, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Museum, said: “We are doing our best to make sure the Fair is safely adapted to the pandemic. We hope to receive many visitors to share the Tet happiness.”

Besides watching or taking part in a variety of entertaining activities, visitors can choose from a number of high-quality Vietnamese products that are on sale.
