Participating in the Games for the second time, the tank crew of the Vietnam People’s Army finished second after Uzbekistan, in the Tank Biathlon finals in Russia. Deputy Defense Minister Giang said: “I’m happy with the result. I hope that the tank soldiers will strive further to gain better results, not at the Games and competitions, but to become a key force of the ground force in national defense. This is an opportunity for us to widen our vision, strengthen relations with other countries, and learn from them. The results reflected the soldiers’ training efforts.”

Do Thi Nhan, a Vietnamese student in Russia, came to the competition to cheer the Vietnamese tank crew. “I was very happy to watch the Vietnamese team winning the qualifying round, the semi-finals, and the finals. This is the second time that Vietnam has participated in the Army Games.”
