The complex was built by the Hoang Lien Son Group and opened to visitors in 2019.

Manager Nguyen Xuan Binh said the site has modern facilities of international standard: “We are working on the first construction phase, covering an area of 20 hectares. The second phase, from next year to 2025, will build a 5-star hotel with a casino and adventure games. The third phase will build a religious area, including the Hoang Bay temple and pagoda, a new cable car system to Trang waterfall, and a slide from the mountain peak 3,000 meters above sea level to the foot of the mountain.”

Rong May glass bridge is the highlight of the complex. A glass elevator takes tourists from a tunnel in the mountain to the glass bridge which is at an altitude of 2,300 meters above sea level.

Tour guide Lo Thi Huong said: “An 300-meter-tall elevator – as tall as a 102-story building – takes tourists to the glass bridge. There are two glass bridges – each 60 meters long –projecting into the forest. The glass bridge bordering the mountain is 200 meters long. On the mountain there is a restaurant, a hotel, a bungalow resort, several cafes, a free cinema, and an adventure game area. The Rong May glass bridge tourist complex is very crowded at weekend. Even on weekdays it welcomes 1000-2000 visitors, most of them Vietnamese. The foreign visitors are mainly Thais, Chinese, Japanese, and Koreans.”

Standing on the glass bridge, visitors have a panoramic view of O Quy Ho Pass, one of the most dangerous passes in Vietnam’s northern region. At this altitude, surrounded by clouds, the visitors can challenge themselves with exciting adventure games and snap some thrilling photos.

Aunwat Khunpisut, a Thai tourist, said: “The natural beauty and cool, fresh air here is rare to find anywhere. The glass bridge is one of the world’s most beautiful and impressive constructions. A glass bridge on a mountain is very special and complicated to build. The locals welcomed us warmly. I love Vietnam.”

Ha Thi Ngu, a tourist from Tuyen Quang province, said: “This is the first time I’ve come here. The glass bridge is superb and beautiful. The natural scenery is impressive. I’ll come back next year if I’m still in good health. I’m 70 years old now.”

Besides contemplating natural beauty, there are a number of thrilling activities for visitors to challenge themselves with, including bungee jumping, paragliding, mountain climbing, a zipline, and a rope suspension bridge hanging over the forest. The resort management is building an infinity pool  at the top of the mountain, which is expected to be a marvelous rendezvous point.
