Female frontline healthcare workers get COVID-19 vaccine shot

(VOVWORLD) - The first female medical staff and other frontline workers at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi received their AstraZeneca vaccine against COVID-19 on March 8 which coincides with International Women’s Day.
 The first 50 healthcare workers receive the vaccine on the morning, and an additional 50 workers are subsequently given the shot in the afternoon. |
 Medical workers have their health checked before the jab. |
 Everyone is consulted before being injected with the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine. |
 Deputy Minister of Health Tran Van Thuan (C) is on hand at the hospital in order to check the vaccination process. |

 Due to the limited supply of the vaccine, medical workers who come in to direct contact with COVID-19 patients as part of their job have been given the highest priority during the vaccination campaign. |
 Despite having some concerns, a female worker shares that she feels this is the most special gift for her on this year’s International Women’s Day. |
 After receiving their inoculation, the workers are closely monitored for 30 minutes. |
