Foreign athletes flock to Hanoi for SEA Games 31

Sport officials and athletes are due to attend the opening ceremony at My Dinh National Stadium from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on May 12.

The Indonesian delegation is made up of 47 members, while Singapore has 95 members. International referees consist of 12 members.

After touching down at the airport in Hanoi, sport delegations head off to different venues for coming competitions.

“I am very impressed by the warm welcome given by the Vietnamese people. This is my third visit to Hanoi and every occasion leaves me with positive memories,” Pimpon Chuanpraset, a Thai representative, tells VOV.

Vietnamese volunteers are deployed to support foreign sports delegations as they arrive in the capital city of Hanoi.
