Vu Manh Chu, Director of the provincial Social Security Office, said handing out hearth insurance cards is a humanitarian act that shows a spirit of compassion and solidarity. The program also raises awareness of health insurance policies, particularly in remote, mountainous areas, he added.
Nguyen Thanh Phuong, Chairman of the Ia Krai commune People’s Committee, said the initiative will ease medical costs for residents and contribute to social security and sustainable poverty reduction.
The commune will continue to work closely with the Social Security Office to encourage people to understand their rights and obligations when participating in health insurance, thereby boosting voluntary enrollment and expanding universal health insurance coverage, he said.
