(VOVWORLD) - A number of events are underway in Ninh Binh province to celebrate the Hoa Lu Festival and the 1,050th anniversary of the establishment of Dai Co Viet, Vietnam’s first feudal state.
Nguyen Manh Cuong, Director of Ninh Binh’s Department of Culture and Sports, said: "The Hoa Lu Festival, a national intangible cultural heritage, pays tribute to ancestors who contributed to Vietnam’s construction and defense. This year, the festival will run four days instead of three. Thorough preparations have been made for the festival’s success."
The opening ceremony of the festival is broadcast live on VOV1 on Tuesday night.
