The 10th ASEM Finance Ministers’ Meeting (ASEM 10) opened in Bangkok today focused on closer cooperation between Asian and European nations.

The Senior Officials Meeting reached consensus yesterday on some main issues including current economic and financial status and direction in Asia and Europe, ways to achieve worldwide sustainable growth, the significance of regional financial cooperation in economic stability, and policies for trade and investment collaboration between Asia and Europe. Deputy Finance Minister Truong Chi Trung led the Vietnamese delegation to the event and will deliver a speech to introduce Vietnam’s current economic situation and its government’s efforts to develop the economy, stabilize finances, and make Vietnam an attractive investment destination.
