12 Vietnamese paintings auctioned
(VOVWORLD) -12 art works by Vietnamese masters were auctioned in Hanoi on Sunday, drawing a large number of collectors. Old Street, oil-on-canvas by Bui Xuan Phai, was one of the highlights of the sale.

It sold for 12,000 USD to a young collector. First Love created by Trần Văn Cẩn using coloured powder opened at 6,000 USD and sold for 41,000 USD.
“I think this is a very professional auction which has opened an important market for Vietnamese art. This auction shows the passion of the Chon Auction House and helps art collectors approach major private art collections,” artist Tran Manh Hung said.
