(VOVworld)- China’s top political advisory body started its annual session on Friday in Beijing, marking the start of the fifth session of the 12th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference National Committee (CPPCC).

CPPCC Chairman Yu Zhengsheng opened the conference by delivering a work report to more than 2,000 political advisors who have gathered to discuss major political, economic and social issues in China:“2017 is an important year in implementing the 13^th 5-year socio-economic developments, strengthening restructuring, organizing the 19^th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and realizing President XI Jingping’s new ideologies and strategies in national development. We need to focus on guiding ideology, mobilizing resources, promoting sustainable economic growth, ensuring social stability.”
