152 finalists selected for National Press Prize

(VOVWORLD) -The National Press Prize Council on Wednesday selected 152 works from more than 1,900 entries to submit to the final jury board.

This is the 5th year the organizing board has received entries from 63 provincial and municipal journalists associations. The works cover politics, economy, culture, security, defense, and major events in 2021.

Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan newspaper, Chairman of Vietnam Journalists Association, Chairman of the National Press Prize Council, Chairman of the final panel, assessed: “Vietnam's revolutionary press force has always overcome challenges and demonstrated a vanguard role on the frontline. Many journalists entered hot spots and pandemic-hit areas to produce powerful, inspirational journalistic works that honor role models and good deeds. Their accomplishment have contributed to Vietnam’s overall success in controlling the COVID-19 pandemic.”

The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day on June 21.
