(VOVWORLD) -18 leaders of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) have confirmed they will attend the 2022 Summit in Bangkok starting November 18, said Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on Monday.

Four countries will send another representative and one country has not yet confirmed its attendance. Leaders of three other countries have accepted invitations as "special guests" of the Thai Government.
PM Chan-o-cha chaired a meeting on Monday on preparations for the Summit. High on the agenda were reception, protocols, food, accommodations, and security.
The APEC Summit, themed “Open – Connect – Balance”, will take place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok from November 14 to November 19.
