Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Ijima Isao, Special Advisor to Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said he hoped more Vietnamese people to come to Japan to study, work and travel.

20,000 cherry blossoms and about 100 cherry trees brought from Japan together with hundreds of typical Vietnamese flowers created a wonderful scene under the effect of colored lights. Visitors are fascinated by the cultural heritages recreated by hundreds of cherry branches such as Mount Fuji (Japan), Great Wall (China), Pavilion of Literature (Vietnam). There are also many other activities introducing Japanese and Vietnamese culture such as Japanese cultural space, Japanese Yosakoi dance performance, wearing Kimono experience, traditional art performance of Hanoi, and stalls of Japanese and Vietnamese cuisine.
