(VOVworld)- Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong has stressed the importance of maintaining national security as well as social law and order in any circumstance. Speaking at the 69th national public security conference, the Party leader praised the People’s Public Security force for its efforts in maintaining political stability, and defending national sovereignty.

Trong also commended the force for creating a favorable environment for socio-economic development and expanding external relations with other countries. He asked the public security force to respond more actively to the Party guidelines on the National Defense Strategy and do its best to achieve the set targets. He urged its members to closely follow the situation inside and outside the country to help the Party and State maintain national security. Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong said:“All the public security forces need to focus on maintaining national security, law and order in society in any circumstance. They are your targets and your tasks that require you to do your best otherwise they would threaten the existence of the regime and the Party. So, you need to be determined to fulfill your tasks resolutely and effectively".
