70 new COVID-19 cases confirmed early Thursday morning

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam confirmed 70 new COVID-19 cases in the past 12 hours to 6am on Thursday, including 66 domestically-transmitted infections and three imported cases that were quarantined right upon their arrival in An Giang province.

According to the Ministry of Health, 16 local cases were found in Bac Giang, 23 in Bac Ninh, 26 in Ho Chi Minh City, and one in Ha Tinh. 50 cases were detected in quarantine or locked-down areas.

Vietnam’s COVID-19 infection tally has so far reached 9,635 cases, of which 3636 have been cured. There were 55 deaths.

16 provinces have gone through 14 days without new infections. They are Yen Bai, Quang Ngai, Dong Nai, Nghe An, Quang Ninh, Quang Nam, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Dak Lak, Nam Dinh, Hoa Binh, Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho, Son La, Ninh Binh, and Thanh Hoa.
