81,000 people infected with Covid-19 worldwide
(VOVWORLD) - As of Wednesday morning, nearly 81,000 people in 42 countries and territories were reported positive with Covid-19. There have been 2,700 deaths and 30,000 cases completely cured.

Apart from China, South Korea is the country most affected by the epidemic, with 11 deaths and over 1,100 infections. The South Korean Defense Ministry said its press conference room and meeting room will be closed for sanitization. Masks are being distributed to local administrations by post and given free to low-income people in Daegu city and Northern Gyeongsang province. Seoul authorities has banned worshiping sessions of the Shincheonji religion because half of reported infections are linked to this religious group.
Japan has confirmed 850 cases infected with Covid-19, mostly passengers from the Diamond Princess cruise.
Iran has seen 16 deaths from the disease, the highest number of deaths outside China.
Italy announced 11 deaths as of Tuesday. Croatia, Algeria, Czech Republic, Austria, and Switzerland have confirmed their first cases of the new coronavirus infection. San Francisco, California, in the US declared a state of emergency on Tuesday amid concerns about Covid-19 spread.
