Activities celebrating President Ho Chi Minh's 131st birthday underway
(VOVWORLD) - Activities to celebrate President Ho Chi Minh’s 131st birthday, May 19th, are being held inside and outside Vietnam.
An exhibition of more than 300 documentary photos on studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style opened at the Presidential Palace historical site in Hanoi on Tuesday 18 to mark his 131st birthday on May 19.
To mark the occasion, Can Tho city presented gifts to local social beneficiary children and launched a campaign to support children’s schooling.
Lu Thi Ngoc Anh, Vice Secretary of the Can Tho Municipal Youth Union, said, 'Young people in the city have organized various activities to celebrate President Ho Chi Minh’s 131st birth anniversary and to promote the tradition of “Drinking water, remember its source and the campaign of following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example. As soon as the pandemic is contained, we will organize a ceremony to honor young people who have excelled in following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example.'
The Vietnamese Embassy, Vietnamese businesses and people in Mozambique organized many activities and seminars to celebrate the occasion. They laid a wreath at the HCM Avenue in Maputo.
