AFF U22 Championship: Vietnam atop Group A entering semi-finals
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam topped Group A of the AFF U-22 Championship 2019 after a goalless draw with Thailand at Phnom Penh Olympic Stadium on Thursday.
Both teams earned a spot in the semifinals. Vietnam’s head coach Nguyen Quoc Tuan, said: “We’ll have one more day off compared to our opponents. Our major concerns prior to the semifinal match are some players’ injuries”.
The semifinals of the tournament will be held on Sunday. Thailand will play host Cambodia, who topped Group B, while Vietnam will meet the runner-up of Group B. Malaysia, Myanmar, and Indonesia are still vying for that spot.
