The preventive medicine agency said that Vietnam will soon have at least 30 labs capable of testing for the deadly virus, according to Deputy Health Minister Nguyen Thanh Long.

“Vietnam has full capacity to detect and deal with the epidemic. Our test is as accurate as that of other countries,” said Mr. Long.

An anti-coronavirus handbook is being drafted while everybody is being urged to take part in the fight against the outbreak.

Meanwhile, no cases of infection have been reported among 200,000 Vietnamese guest workers in South Korea.

“Vietnamese agencies and businesses have kept Vietnamese guest workers in South Korea updated as to the outbreak’s developments and preventive measures. We’re keeping a close watch on them,” said Ms. Tran Thi Van Ha from the labor ministry’s communication office.
