(VOVWORLD) - The APEC Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM) approved a draft titled “Bangkok Goals on Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy” in Bangkok on Wednesday.

Although the 21 APEC members had a few differences, they all supported sustainable development.
Thani Thongphakdi, APEC 2022 SOM Chair, told the media after the meeting: "I am proud to say that Thailand has steered APEC 2022, a year of extraordinary circumstances, and we are now close to the finish line."
"I hope that APEC 2022 will be remembered as a time when the region came back together stronger, a time when we resumed trade and travel, and a time when we decided to focus on our common interests and aspirations to advance cooperation for the prosperity of all our people and future generations," he said.
