(VOVworld) - The Vietnam-Argentina Inter-Governmental Committee discussed measures to boost multifaceted cooperation at its fourth meeting in Buenos Aires on Friday.

Vietnam-Argentina Inter-Governmental Committee convened its fourth meeting in Buenos Aires on October 31, 2014.

During the 2-day meeting, both countries agreed on specific measures aimed at boosting bilateral cooperation in agriculture, energy, techniques, education and culture.

Measures to set up joint ventures, direct investment, and technology transfer between the two countries’ business communities were explored.

Argentina proposes signing a MoU on cooperation in communications, industry and biotechnology between relevant ministries of both sides.

From now until 2016, both will implement agricultural projects including those related to foot-and-mouth disease prevention, post-harvest preservation, improving the quality of animal feeds, and application of biotechnology to produce high-yield soybeans. They pledged to continue to carry out cultural exchange projects in the 2015-2016 period.
