The event included art performances, reports, and talks giving an overview of Vietnam’s biodiversity preservation over the past 25 years.

Since Vietnam ratified the Convention on Biological Diversity in 1994, it has made great strides in nature and biodiversity conservation. With the support of the UNDP and other international organizations, Vietnam has participated in many international treaties and enhanced regional cooperation to address issues relating to the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity.

On this occasion, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the UNDP presented one first prize, one second prize, and two third prizes to the winners of a contest on proper use of biodiversity resources.
