(VOVWORLD) - The ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (AFEO 38) met in Hanoi Wednesday to foster initiatives and actions to build a sustainable and prosperous ASEAN community.

The conference consolidated implementing sustainable development goals, initiating high-quality technical cooperation schemes, and promoting the use of digital technology in building a connected, fair, and prosperous ASEAN Community.
Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam emphasized the role of ASEAN engineers: “When the ASEAN community was formed in 2015, the region turned a new page. ASEAN has more driving force for economic, trade, service, human resource, and investment development. The theme of the conference demonstrates the awareness and responsibility of ASEAN engineers.”
The Deputy Prime Minister said the Vietnamese government will continue offering favorable conditions for engineers of Vietnam and other ASEAN countries to develop cooperative programs for a peaceful and prosperous ASEAN.
