ASEAN Secretary General meets Myanmar commander-in-chief
(VOVWORLD) - ASEAN Secretary General Lim Jock Hoi and Myanmar commander-in-chief Min Aung Hlaing had a meeting in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday to discuss solutions to Myanmar’s political crisis.

The visit by Mr. Lim and Mr. Erywan Yusof, Brunei’s Second Foreign Affairs Minister and ASEAN's chair this year, is part of diplomatic effort that ASEAN has been leading since Myanmar fell into a political crisis on February 1 after the military arrested government leaders, regional and state heads and members, as well as senior members of the National League for Democracy (NLD). Myanmar said it will carefully consider ASEAN’s proposal for stabilization and peace restoration.
