The Cao Yet (Proclamation) ceremony, a ritual of spiritual significance, is conducted at the beginning of every festival at the site. Participants paid tribute to Saints and Deities of the land, sought their permission to hold the festival, and prayed for peace, prosperity, favourable weather, and bumper crops. 

Tran Thi Hoang Mai, director of Hai Phong Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, said: “Visitors attending the festival will learn more about Hai Phong's five world heritage sites, which were recently recognized by UNESCO. We will also introduce three of our latest tours, called "One Journey–Five World Heritage Sites", "Tracing the Footsteps of the Truc Lam Patriarchs", and "Exploring Con Son-Kiep Bac World Heritage.”

The Con Son-Kiep Bac Autumn Festival 2025 runs from October 1 to 12  (the 10th to 20th day of the 8th lunar month). It commemorates the 725th death anniversary of Tran Hung Dao, a statesman and military commander of Vietnam and the 583rd death anniversary of national hero and world cultural icon Nguyen Trai.
