Bac Lieu’s salt making craft recognized as National Intangible Cultural Heritage
(VOVWORLD) - Bac Lieu received a certificate recognizing its salt making craft as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage at a ceremony on Thursday in Go Cat hamlet, Dong Hai district.

This is the first time Bac Lieu has had a national heritage – a traditional craft - listed as one of seven categories of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Speaking at the event, Cao Xuan Thu Van, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, said the recognition is the pride of local people and will contribute to diversifying Vietnamese intangible cultural heritage.
This also creates better conditions for domestic and international friends to understand the beauty and culture of the salt-making districts of Hoa Binh and Dong Hai in Bac Lieu province.
