Battle against COVID-19 intensifes across Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) - Hanoi will expand rapid mass testing across the city as the COVID-19 fight enters a crucial stage.

The Health Ministry has bought at least 200,000 rapid coronavirus test kits from South Korea. The municipal police force has been closely monitoring the enforcement of nationwide social distancing.

“We are working with the transport and health sectors to supervise social distancing at all entrances to the city,” said Deputy Chief of Hanoi Police Doan Ngoc Hung.

Hanoi currently has the most cases of COVID-19 among Vietnam's 222.

 In the northern mountainous province of Yen Bai, local authorities have suspened public transport services since Wednesday to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
