Border crime prevention work for 2017 reviewed
(VOVWORLD) -Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh has called on the Ministry of National Defense and the Border Guard to thoroughly study and apply resolutions and orders of Politburo and the government on crime prevention.

Binh spoke to participants at a conference of the Border Guard High Command in Hanoi on Wednesday to review the force’s performance this year: “Units should take uniform measures to fight crime. There should never be any crime hotbed in the border areas. From now unitl the Lunar New year, the border guard forces should closely work with other forces and local authorities to prevent crimes such as drug smuggling and trade fraud.
