(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has given a green light to Phu Tho province’s proposal to develop Viet Tri into a city of festival celebrating Vietnamese nation’s origin.

Mr. Phuc had a working session with Phu Tho leaders on Sunday to discuss socio-economic measures to turn Phu Tho into a centre of the northern midland and mountainous region leading to Hanoi. The government leader urged the province to implement the project which he said matches the national tradition and solidarity as Phu Tho is the cradle of the Vietnamese nation. He called on efforts to protect the environment while building an ecological and tourism city. Prime Minister Phuc suggested that Phu Tho give priority to organic agriculture, develop enterprises, and boost tourism based on traditional culture. Earlier, the Prime Minister visit Phu Tho polyclinics and inspected construction of a crossroad that links Viet Tri city with the Hanoi-Lao Cai highway.
