At a meeting Dimitar Nikolov, Mayor of Burgas, Mr. Hue said that bilateral economic, investment, and trade cooperation has not developed in par with their potentials. He recommended that Vietnamese businesses can partner with Bulgarian businesses to penetrate the European market and Balkan countries and vice versa, Bulgaria can invest in Vietnam and thereby enter the ASEAN market of about 650 million people, the 5th largest economy in the world.
Mr Hue said that Vietnam will call on its businesses to invest in Bulgaria’s deep-water seaports, tourism, marine sector, and logistics. Regarding the teaching Vietnamese to Bulgarians, he would ask the Vietnamese Government and the Ministry of Education and Training to research and open classes in the near future.
Burgas Mayor Dimitar Nikolov said that the visit of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue is an important occasion for the two sides to discuss education, culture, and tourism. Burgas city is developing industrial parks. If Vietnamese businesses are interested in this field, Burgas city will reserve land fund for Vietnamese businesses and act as a bridge for them in Europe. Burgas also creates favorable conditions for Vietnamese people to integrate locally, said Dimitar Nikolov.
