Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc addresses the working session with Ca Mau provincial leaders

Working with provincial leaders on Wednesday, PM Phuc said that Ca Mau is one of the localities that lead Vietnam in shrimp production and contribute to national shrimp exports. He also praised the province for its social security and administrative reform indexes.

He called on Ca Mau to well implement its 5-year development plan. Mr. Phuc said: “Ca Mau’s development strategy needs to focus on major pillars. First, hi-tech agriculture, especially aquaculture. Second, tourism will be Ca Mau’s another development orientation, following the opening of the Ca Mau Cape Culture-Tourism Week and the inauguration of the Hanoi Flag Tower in Ca Mau. Other growth momentums include the private economy and processing industry to increase agricultural products’ values. Efforts should be made to preserve Ca Mau’s ecosystem and forests amid climate change. New agricultural production model should be paid attention to.”
