Cambodian voters cast ballots in the 2013 general election.

Chhim Phalvorun, senior advisor of Cambodian Prime Minister Hunsen, told a VOV correspondent in Cambodia: “This election will see much progress, especially in the people’s right to master their country’s destiny. 20 parties will run for the election. International observers can only supervise and support the process”.

Mr. Phalvorun said the election takes place as Cambodia is enjoying socio-economic stability, security, development and foreign investors’ trust.

He added that the Cambodian People’s Party of Prime Minister Hunsen pledges to safeguard peace and promote development in all fields.
