More than 12 thousands students and pupils joined the camping. Themed “Proud of being students of HCM city”, the camping festival has art performances, flower arranging, and torch carrying ceremony. Camping festival is part of many activities to mark 64 years of the traditional day of Vietnamese Students (January 9^th) and 40 years of Southern Liberation day (April 30^th). Attending the opening ceremony, deputy chairman of HCM City's People's Committee Hua Ngoc Thuan said: “This camping festival is a good opportunity for us to review and praise successful achievement of students and pupils in the city. The festival is a helpful, healthy playground, contributing to strengthening friendships and the necessary skills of students. It is also a great event for students and pupils to meet and exchange studying experiences. I think that it is a very meaningful event held by the HCM city Department of Education and Training.”
