Canada gives Vietnam medical aid worth 630,000 USD

(VOVWORLD) - Canada on Wednesday gave Vietnam a medical equipment package worth 630,000 USD to help in the fight against COVID-19.

At a ceremony in Hanoi on Wednesday, Canadian Ambassador to Vietnam Deborah Paul gave Deputy Health Minister Truong Quoc Cuong 120,000 N95 face masks, part of Canada's program to help ASEAN partners fight the COVID-19 pandemic. Ambassador Paul praised Vietnam's efforts to control the epidemic and pledged Canada’s cooperation in this fight.

Canada has given 690,000 pieces of personal protective equipment worth nearly 3.5 million USD to 6 ASEAN countries and the ASEAN Secretariat.
