Caribbean countries discuss US immigration policy

(VOVworld) - The Caribbean Community (Caricom) convened an Inter-Sessional Meeting in Guyana on Thursday and Friday to discuss the US’s new immigration policy. According to Caricom’s Secretary General Irwin LaRocque, the heads of the 15 member nations will attend the event.

Established in 1973, Caricom is an organization of fifteen Caribbean nations and dependencies. The organization’s main purposes are to promote economic integration and cooperation among its members and to ensure that the benefits of integration are equitably shared.
