Ceremony commemorates victims of Binh An massacre

(VOVworld) – Residents of the central coastal province of Binh Dinh laid wreaths and burned incense on Wednesday to commemorate 1,004 victims of the Binh An massacre 48 years ago.

Between January 23rd and February 26th, 1966, American troops and mercenaries destroyed houses and killed innocent locals, mainly women, children, and elders. A raid on February 26th claimed 380 lives in Binh An commune, Tay Son district, and several other communes.
