In his address, Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Communication and Education Vo Van Thuong called the youth the vanguard of national construction and defence.

“Party Committees at all levels need to listen to the youth’s aspirations, and support them in their business startups, creative activities, and contribution to national construction and defence,” he said.

The 8-month campaign “Vietnamese youth implementing President Ho Chi Minh’s testament” mobilized around 1.5 million Youth Union members and featured more than 5,000 thematic workshops.

50 outstanding responses to the campaign were honored at the ceremony. Mr. Pham Van Linh, a member of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, said: “An outstanding work honored is the children’s playground in Champasak province, Laos, built by Youth Union members. This project contributed to enhancing ties between the two countries’ young people”.
