(VOVworld) – Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Dutch King Willem-Alexander in Amsterdam on Saturday during his first visit to Europe as China’s leader.

King Willem-Alexander highlighted the two countries’ ties and expressed his hope that the Netherlands will be a good partner to China by promoting cultural exchanges and multi-faceted co-operation. Xi reiterated that co-operation with the Netherlands has been the top priority in China’s co-operation with European countries. He said China is ready to discuss with Dutch leaders plans for the development of bilateral ties. The leaders also discussed financial and counter-terrorist activities at the meeting.
