China’s military exercises in East Sea violate Vietnam’s sovereignty

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Le Thi Thu Hang has reiterated Viet Nam’s consistent view that all activities conducted in its Hoang Sa (Paracel) or Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago without its permission violate Vietnam’s sovereignty over the two archipelagos.

On Monday, answering reporters’ questions about China's military drills and missile launches in the East Sea (known internationally as the South China Sea), Hang said such activities are not conducive to peace, stability, order, security, safety, or freedom of aviation and navigation in the East Sea.
