Closer regional connection needed to boost farm sales
(VOVWORLD) - A special mission for the southern region and agricultural officials of 13 Mekong Delta localities has agreed that distribution of farm produce should be flexibly adjusted to the supply chain.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Tran Thanh Nam, who heads the special mission, told an online meeting on Wednesday, “It’s a problem when businesses have signed contracts with farmers for the harvest of certain rice paddies and then the harvest turns out to be a failure. That’s why regional cooperation to balance production is critical.”
