(VOVworld) – The Communist Party of Greece (KEE) supports Vietnam’s stance in the settlement of East Sea disputes.

At a meeting on Wednesday with Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tat Thanh Cang, visiting KEE General Secretary Dimitrios Koutsoumpas said disputes in the East Sea must be resolved by peaceful means in accordance with international law, including the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea.

The two leaders discussed the political and socio-economic development of their countries. They highlighted this visit by the KEE delegation as a lever for closer ties with the Communist Party of Vietnam. Cang and Koutsoumpas said they believe that good relations between the two parties will foster cooperation between Vietnam and Greece in economics, trade, and tourism.
