(VOVWORLD) - According to worldometers.info, the world has recorded nearly 440,000 new COVID-19 cases and 7,500 deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to more than 225 million infections.

The three countries with the highest number of cases in the last 24 hours are the US (more than 69,000 cases), India (more than 31,000 cases), and the UK (30,000 cases).
So far, the US has the highest number of COVID-19 cases and deaths, followed by India and Brazil.
