According to the Department, 28 tour operators in the city brought 6,700 tourists to Da Nang, an epidemic hotspot, in July.

Tourism companies including Vietravel, Flamingo Redtours, Vietrantour, and Hanoitourist have instructed visitors to delay travel plans to an appropriate time or advised them to change to other destinations.

Tourist areas in Hanoi such as the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, the Temple of Literature, Hoa Lo Prison, and Ngoc Son Temple have strictly implemented COVID-19 prevention and control rules for visitors by disinfecting the sites and asking visitors to wear masks and sanitize hands.

The downtown walking street around the Hoan Kiem Lake has temporarily halted festive activities and large public gatherings.
