COVID-19: No new cases reported in Vietnam, spread slows in the world's most regions
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam reported no new COVID-19 cases Wednesday morning, keeping the national infection tally at 1,029, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control. 600 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered and 28 have died.

According to worldometers.info, over 24 million people had been infected with the coronavirus as of Wednesday. The US has been the hardest-hit country, followed by Brazil and India.

Through the coronavirus pandemic is still raging worldwide, new WHO data indicates its spread is slowing in most regions. Every region saw a decline in new infections this week except for Southeast Asia and the Eastern Mediterranean.
The WHO cautioned that several countries and territories in the Caribbean have reported large increases in cases and suggested this could be linked to growing tourism.
The US remains by far the hardest-hit by the pandemic, accounting last week for half of all new cases and 62% of all new deaths.
In Europe, where the number of new cases has been steadily climbing in recent weeks, the pace slowed slightly, by 1%, last week.
