COVID-19: One more death, 2 infections confirmed in Vietnam on Thursday

(VOVWORLD) - A 51-year-old woman died of Covid-19 in Da Nang on Thursday morning, taking Vietnam’s death toll so far to 30.

"Patient 696" died of pneumonia caused by Covid-19, septic shock, multiple organ failure, and high blood pressure, the Ministry of Health said. With her demise, Vietnam has lost 30 lives to Covid-19, including two on Wednesday. The youngest among the dead was 33 and the oldest 93. All 30 had chronic diseases, with renal failure the most common. 

In Thursday afternoon, Vietnam reported two new cases of COVID-19, one in Da Nang and one imported case in Khanh Hoa. So far, Vietnam has had 1,036 infections.  Worldwide, the Covid-19 death toll has climbed to more than 830,000 and 24.3 million infections
