COVID-19 pandemic complicated in Singapore, RoK, New Zealand

(VOVWORLD) - The Singaporean Health Ministry on Sunday announced 81 new COVID-19 patients in the last 24 hours, bringing the total infection to 55,661.

The South Korean Center for Disease Control recorded 279 new infections in the last 24 hours. 13 new cases have been confirmed in New Zealand, said Dr. Ashley Bloomfield, chief executive of New Zealand’s Health Ministry said the same day. Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said there have been 1,256 new cases in the last 24 hours, the highest rate in 45 days.

According to worldometers.info, as of Sunday, Vietnam time, there have been over 21 million COVID-19 infections and 768,600 deaths in the world. 66% of the patients have recovered. The US remained the world’s epicenter with more than 5.5 million cases and 172,000 deaths. Arizona teachers have protested by canceling next week’s online lessons, saying the teaching condition is not safe.
