Czech diplomat hails Vietnam’s positive growth
(VOVWORLD) - David Jarkulisch, an economic diplomat from the Czech Republic Embassy in Hanoi, has praised Vietnam as one of the world’s fastest growing economies amid the deep global recession due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In an article published on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, he noted that Vietnam’s 2.9% growth rate last year ranked 4th in Southeast Asia, with a nominal GDP of 340 billion US dollars, surpassing Singapore and Malaysia. He attributed exports and FDI to the growth rate as well as domestic consumption and rapid economic recovery. The government approved a 29.5 billion dollars stimulus package last year, fueling further growth this year up to 6.8%.
