According to the plan, the first phase will target visitors and overseas Vietnamese entering Vietnam for business or visiting relatives, who will undergo a quarantine period set by the Ministry of Health.

Foreign visitors on package tours will be guaranteed and managed by international travel agents. Da Nang hopes to receive 15,000 to 20,000 arrivals per month.

The second phase begins when the Government allows the resumption of international flight routes with pandemic prevention conditions dictated by the Government and the city.

Nguyen Xuan Binh, Deputy Director of Da Nang Tourism Department, said the plan focuses on Russia, the Republic of Korea, and several markets which have well controlled the pandemic well including Thailand, Japan, and HongKong.

“We are looking forward to receiving the Government's green light and bilateral decisions with the targeted markets to welcome international tourists. It’s necessary to ensure that the vaccine passport goes smoothly. It’s also important to identify key markets and key groups of tourists for Da Nang in the coming time,” said Binh.
