Da Nang welcomes Indian coast guard ship

(VOVWORLD) - An Indian Coast Guard ship docked at Tien Sa port on Monday, starting a four-day goodwill visit to the central city of Da Nang.

The 140 crewmembers of the ship ICGS VIJIT will pay courtesy calls to leaders of Da Nang city, the Military Zone 5 High Command, and the Coast Guard Zone 2 High Command, as well as join in a volleyball game, and visit Hoi An and My Son in the central provinces of Quang Nam. They will also hold a joint search and rescue drill with the Vietnam Coast Guard. 

The four-day visit aims to boost the Vietnam-India comprehensive strategic partnership and ties between the two countries’ coast guards in particular while popularizing the image of Da Nang to international friends.
