Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh reiterated the government’s support for investment in solar energy projects and asked local authorities to create favorable conditions for investors. “The project will continue its second phase with a capacity of 50 megawatt peak, similar to the first phase. The Binh Dinh provincial People’s Committee, the Vietnam Electricity Group, and relevant agencies need to create favorable conditions for investors and address their problems arising during business operation, especially in the process of deploying the second phase of the project”, said Mr. Binh.

The 64 million USD solar and wind power project has a total capacity of 100 megawatt peak and is completely invested by Japan. The project’s first phase, with a capacity of 50 megawatt peak, is completed, generating an annual power output equivalent to the annual power consumption of 32 thousand households.
